1984-1986 Suzuki GS550E

Let's go back to the beginning. In 1984 I bought my first street bike, a 1980 Suzuki GS550E. I immediately started putting lots of miles on it, I was in the Air Force and I traveled quite a bit from the base to my hometown in So. Illinois, about a 6 hour drive. I got a lot of use from that machine, but I felt something was missing. I had a 1971 Harley Sportster for a while, it had a rigid frame and 8" over length girder, with Invader Mags, but it wasn't a bike for me. In 1986 I traded the Suzuki towards a new 1986 Honda Magna.
