1986-2002: The Screamin' Demon
It was the summer of 1986 and I was ready for a new ride. I went to the local dealer and found probably the perfect bike for me (at the time). A brand new 1986 Honda VF700C Magna, candy red. It had a V4 engine and plenty of power for a 20 year old. I immediately began putting the miles on it, adding a small windscreen, mag tank bag and leather saddlebags. It was comfortable and quick, plus the girls liked it...:o)) I rode it to the Smokies, to Washington DC/Maryland twice, to Utah, and many points in between. I had about 100K miles on it before I sold it. I hated to do it, but the bike was getting tired, and I needed some cash. It was my plan to get another bike within a year, but 5 years passed and still no motorcycle.
